The SolarPod is a patented mobile solar generator that combines solar power, battery storage and an HVO/diesel backup generator into one compact, easy-to-deploy unit. Designed and manufactured in the UK by AJC Power Solutions, the SolarPod delivers reliable, low-emission site power for construction, infrastructure, utilities and temporary worksites.
By harvesting solar energy and intelligently managing power demand, the SolarPod significantly reduces fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and noise, while maintaining consistent power availability—anywhere, anytime.
The SolarPod is a true hybrid power system, integrating:
This intelligent combination allows the system to prioritise solar and battery power first, only using the generator when required. The result is a cleaner, quieter and more fuel-efficient alternative to traditional site generators.
Designed to supply multiple single-phase applications, SolarPod can power site accommodation with ease.
Since its launch in 2018, the SolarPod has been proven across UK sites and changing weather conditions, delivering real-world savings:
When used with HVO fuel, SolarPod can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80% or more compared to standard diesel generators.
Just add fuel, plug in and use. The onboard Victron Systems manage power automatically. Remote control and monitoring.
Lithium Batteries are part of the power system, keeping generator use to a minimum.
We only use AL-KO axles & towing equipment to ensure long life and easy parts replacement.
The hybrid system reduces generator runtime. Ultra-low emissions with HVO fuel.
Extendible sliding solar panels. Easy to store with large solar input when extended.
Built for a tough life. Galvanized unique, high strength, composite panels and chassis. Resistant to vandals, road shocks, water & rust.
Soundproofed generator box. Reduced generator runtime with the hybrid system. Generator runs only to charge batteries or cope with power demand spikes.
Heated lithium battery cells. Functional at temperatures down to -20°c
(OPTIONAL) Plug in mains power to bypass the generator, use mains for backup and charging only.
Single phase power @ 30kVA peak. 30-to-50kW battery storage options.
The SolarPod features a built-in Stage V NRMM compliant generator (Regulation 2016/1628) with advanced particulate and NOx filtration.
Compatible fuel types include:

Burn only clean fuel. Reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and preserve machine uptime.
FuelActive is a unique method of delivering 92% cleaner fuel to the engine by drawing fuel from just below the surface of the fuel tank. Standard diesel generators draw fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank where water, sediment, diesel bug and other contaminants settle.
FuelActive ensures that only clean fuel enters the fuel lines eliminating the costly effects of fuel contamination. Because the engine is burning only clean fuel, the thermal efficiency of the engine reduces fuel consumption whilst maintaining factory-level emissions standards through its life cycle.

On every Solar Pod is a local control dashboard integrated with Victron Connect. Simple user controls and data readout for each input, output, generator status, fuel, battery & solar levels.

Here are 2 examples of how the Solar Pod performed in the usual imperfect weather of the UK.
The Solar Pod has been on site for 1 Year, and the standby generator has only ran for 1,202 hours across the year. An average of 23 hours per week. Reading the telemetry data, we are able to show that frequently, the site is powered silently and emission free either by direct solar or energy stored in the batteries.
The Solar Pod has been on site for 144 days, and the standby generator has only ran for 111 hours. Reading the telemetry data, we are able to show that frequently, the site is powered silently and emission free either by direct solar or energy stored in the batteries.
