AJC Trailers began with one man’s vision, a toolbox, and a commitment to build trailers that stood the test of time.
Today, we are a multi-award-winning UK manufacturer supplying EasyCabin welfare units and AJC Power Solutions to the nation’s largest hire companies and construction contractors.
This is our story.
In the mid-1960s, Albert James Corey began building trailers from his workshop, quickly earning a reputation for practical designs and reliable build quality.
That early focus on craftsmanship laid the foundations for what would become a growing family business.
Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, AJC became one of the UK’s most recognised trailer manufacturers.
Over 100 baggage trailers were produced every week
Six AJC retail showrooms opened nationwide
AJC launched its first camping model, the TowTent, which became a major success
A new factory opened in King Street, Houghton Regis
AJC became a household name in camping and leisure
By the mid-1980s, shifting holiday trends reduced the camping market, prompting AJC to reinvent its product direction.
As UK leisure needs changed, AJC pivoted into utility trailers, servicing builders, farmers, and industry.
Production expanded into specialist trailer types, with the brand continuing to grow and diversify.
AJC entered the catering trailer market in 1987—a natural evolution from larger storage trailers.
These early catering units quickly grew into a highly specialised and in-demand product range, progressing from basic PVC-panel trailers to advanced GRP-bodied mobile kitchens
.In the late 1990s, Albert’s grandson Jav Samsa joined the business as an apprentice engineer. Jav developed and modernised AJC’s production methods and designs, and today he owns and leads the company, continuing the family legacy.
In 2004, AJC built its first mobile welfare unit—and the sector changed forever.
The product’s fresh design, hydraulic axle system and focus on operator safety made it an instant success.
The EasyCabin brand quickly became one of the most popular welfare solutions in the UK hire market.
Thousands of EasyCabins are in operation nationwide
Many major hire companies run AJC as their largest welfare fleet supplier
The biggest single fleet exceeds 1,650 EasyCabins
Every unit is designed and built at our UK factory
