25 May The Solar Pod has been shortlisted for the ‘ERA Rental Product of The Year’.

A big thanks to Nixon Hire for entering the Nixon Solar Pod Fleet into the awards, and working with us to develop the Solar Pod into this ground breaking product.

In 2020 alone the Nixon fleet saved almost 3000 tonnes of carbon emissions on our customer sites nationwide, the equivalent of planting over 134,000 trees!

Solar Pod – Significantly reduces fuel bills by harvesting the sun’s energy to provide free power to a site. The Solar Pod has a back-up generator fitted with an automated power management system. This system intelligently moves the power between the panels and generator which reduces the amount of fuel being used. The Solar Pod delivers up to 60kw power output from a combination of solar, batteries, or generator. All the end-user needs to do is add fuel then switch on and use. The ‘Autosmart’ system takes care of everything else. This combination gives the end-user significantly lower fuel costs and less CO2 emissions.
