The Different Types of Welfare Cabins
At a time when hygiene in the workplace is more important than ever, making sure you have the right type of welfare cabins to meet your particular staff needs is of paramount importance. While Health and Safety duty of care requirements should always be at the forefront of your choice of site welfare units, now, minimising the risk of covid-19 cross-infection, should also be taken into account.
AJC EasyCabin, manufacture and sell a large range of static and mobile welfare units, in a massive range of different configurations. Whether you need welfare units for construction sites, rail operations, hospitality, or temporary accommodation; by mixing and matching AJC EasyCabin units you can arrange your onsite welfare and accommodation cabins to cater for all members of your workforce. Constructed using the latest materials and technology, they are not only designed and produced specifically to be easily cleaned and sanitised, but they can help reduce your carbon footprint and lower operational costs.
Mobile and static welfare cabins
No longer do you have to make do with noisy, smelly diesel generators, or metres of power cable snaking across a construction site, in order to power all the facilities required in your static or mobile welfare unit. In 2017, AJC EasyCabin won the prestigious Green Apple, Green Champion Award, for their work on sustainable welfare units.
For years the company has been at the forefront of eco-friendly research and development, to minimise the carbon emissions of their range of static and mobile welfare cabins. Now, you can choose between standard units, hybrid, solar-powered, and zero-emission units.
Standard and Hybrid welfare cabins
Whether you need a stand-alone toilet block, or a unit capable of providing his and her WCs, washroom and drying room, plus modern canteen facilities for up to 24 staff, AJC EasyCabin is pleased to offer the most environmentally friendly units across their whole range. All their baseline models have the latest diesel technology to minimise emissions, efficient LED lighting, and the latest diesel-generated water heating systems to minimise power consumption.
The hybrid models are powered by banks of batteries using the latest LED lighting and economical water heating systems available. The most efficient diesel generators are employed to back-up the system and recharge the batteries using the Ecosmart intelligent power management system. Hybrid technology is available across the full range of Ecosmart units.
The Ecosmart Solar-powered static and mobile welfare unit
Another step up the reducing emissions ladder is EasyCabin’s range of solar-powered cabins. These cabins come fitted with solar panels to power the units, and keep the battery packs fully charged. Available for all units from the Ecosmart Solar 12, suitable for 6-8 persons, to the Ecosmart 28, suitable for 17-28 persons, enough power is generated on a sunny UK day to keep all services operating. However, with the uncertain British climate, the clever people at AJC EasyCabin have also included the most environmentally friendly diesel generators, to make sure your rained-off workers can still watch their favourite TV programmes or charge their power tools when solar and battery power is reduced by adverse weather conditions.
The Ecosmart Zero static or mobile site welfare units
The Ecosmart Zero range of welfare units are EasyCabin’s most efficient, environmentally friendly, range of site welfare cabins to date. Covering the range of units from the Ecosmart Zero 12 to Ecosmart Zero 28, the system is operated by solar panels with battery back-up. However, the diesel generator as the fall-back power source has gone and been replaced by a hydrogen fuel cell. Not only has cutting edge technology provided a system that creates zero CO2 emissions, but it has also eliminated that annoying hum and vibration so often emitted from even the most well-insulated standby generator. Hydrogen fuel is supplied in the form of a hydrogen gas bottle, readily available, and as easy to change as a standard propane gas bottle.
With the spread of covid-19 still a very real risk, it is imperative to provide employees with an operational site where they feel as safe and protected as is reasonably possible, given the current situation. By choosing AJC EasyCabin’s range of mobile or static welfare cabins, you can provide them with the very best of onsite facilities, while doing your bit to reduce climate warming, and lower your carbon footprint.
